Our Story

A sustainable model for youth empowerment

Our roots trace back to the United States, where the Healthy Kids Foundation was co-founded alongside Dr. Ian Yip at UCLA as a registered 501(c)(3) independent nonprofit in California. Initially established to combat childhood obesity and support youth from low-income families, the foundation’s vision soon expanded.

The turning point came when a key donor proposed a more sustainable, globally impactful model: using strategic investments in social businesses, university talents and start-ups. The Hong Kong headquarters was later established to pioneer a social business incubator and memorial scholarship programme.

The ASPIRE Framework

All Students Prosper If Resources Exist. Through the Healthy Kids Memorial Scholarships, the organisation provides financial support to dedicated students from Hong Kong and China who aspire to become top medical doctors.
